Founded:
The Hubbard Free Library was originally designated in 1880, under the name the Hallowell Social Library. It has remained in its original building since its organization.
Collections:
In addition to regular holdings the Hubbard Free Library also contains a special and rare collections area, which is home to historic artifacts and archival materials.
Facilities:
The original building was designed by Alexander C. Currier and was dedicated in 1880. Additions were constructed in 1893 and 1897. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1970.
Today the library has many resources available for the public's use, including three desktop computers and one laptop.

Monday, Wednesday: 10 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Tuesday, Thursday: 2 p.m. - 8 p.m.
Friday: 2 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Saturday: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Sunday: closed
